An awe-inspiring adventure awaits
Next tour = flexible dates – 12 days/11 nights – ex Santiago, Chile.
Antarctica is one of those places that is an enigma for most. It conjures up images of vast snowy planes, rugged mountains, grinding glaciers casting massive icebergs to their fate, frozen seas, strong currents and unrepentant winds, intrepid explorers, failures and successes. Wildlife at the end of the earth is extraordinary, landscapes are large. Getting there is an adventure. Come see for yourself – join us in 2023 for a trip of a life-time.
Overview
The Tour includes flights to and from Frei Station on King George Island (in the South Shetland Islands) thus avoiding crossing the infamous Drake Passage(!) by ship, plus 6 days cruising Antarctica waters (including landings on the Antarctic continent) plus 3 nights pre- and 1 night post- the Antarctic section in Punta Arenas. The schedule caters for unpredictable weather events (storms, high winds) that may affect the start and/or finish date of the Antarctic leg. There is plenty to see and do around Punta Arenas and a flexible guided programme is arranged for these days. Adland conducts the tour in association with Antarctica21.
