Overview
The tour includes 2 nights in tropical delicious Mauritius, 3 nights in exotic Zanzibar, plus 7 nights on a Tanzania Safari in the Serengeti and Tarangerie National Wildlife Parks including the magnificent Great Migration of the Wilderbeest crossing of the Mara River, plus Ngorongoro crater, Olduvai Gorge and Shifting Sands (within UNESCO World Heritage area); all in 4-5 star comfort with our highly experienced Australian wildlife photographer and safari leader, Keryn Gannon.
Wildlife highlights abound including elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, rhinos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, gazelles, impala, vultures, hyenas and much more.
Culture. The tour includes a personalised visit to a small Maasi village and the Cultural Heritage Museum in Arusha. Plus Zanzibar. Known as the Spice Island, the beautiful island of Zanzibar (which is a part of Tanzania) on Africa’s east coast is bursting with culture and history. Home to the birth place of Freddie Mercury, UNESCO World Heritage Site of Stone Town was the centre of the ivory, gold and slave trade. Its maze of narrow streets with its ornate and beautiful doors are a web of markets, shops and craft centres.
